South African cuisine

Many settlers passed through Africa because of shipping routes that connected the East to the West. Thus, the typical food was influenced by different parts of the world, mixing the food already entered in the mainland customs. Their culture and cuisine has become a source of ingredients for several countries.

Africans themselves increasingly enriched the cuisine in the region. For example, when some South African slaves returning from England, taught to his countrymen what they learned. As Africans living in the East in the Middle Ages. There are also exotic dishes like fried cricket.
